“I have a pacemaker. I’ve had 4 open heart surgeries. Right when I was born I had one. It was monitored until I was 15. Then, I had a massive heart attack at age 15. I collapsed. I didn’t know what was going on. I knew I had things wrong with me but I never had a heart attack before. I was by myself. I was watching tv. Next thing I know, I just passed out. Luckily for me, my brother came home, saw me laying on the ground and rushed me to the hospital. My sister influenced me so much. She had the same condition as me. When I was 9, She passed away at the age of 16, the same way I almost died. Growing up she was the only one who knew what I was going through. I didn’t know anyone else, except her who had what I had. I still don’t know a lot of people who have it. She taught me just to live and live with purpose. I workout 5 to 6 days a week. I feel like fitness has really brought everything together for me.”
