“I think eating right is the most important part of my health. I feel like I stay really active and I’m always running around but if I don’t have the right food for the day, I don’t feel good throughout the day. I have a 5 year old son who’s very energetic. That’s another reason why eating healthy is so important because it’s hard to keep up with him. I’m a lot more conscious now with what I’m putting into my body. I used to be a really bad cook. My mom tried to teach me back in high school but I hated it. I burnt ramen noodles. It can’t get much worse than that. Now I love cooking and I’m very fortunate my son likes vegetables. We eat a lot of broccoli and carrots. He watches everything I do so it’s just better for me to lead by example.”
