“When I get into Kung Fu on a regular basis, it’s incredibly grounding. It’s hard to get back into it sometimes. I’m not proactive enough and it takes a while to get back on track. It’s built to really refine your mechanics and how you move, and through that you can feel your body moving more efficiently and you become more aware of it. You expend less effort doing everyday things. It helps you stay calm in stressful situations. When I was doing Kung Fu all the time, I would also meditate for 3 minutes every single day. It made a huge difference. That’s the frustrating thing. When I was into it, it all worked really nicely. But the problem is, once you get out of it, it’s hard to get back into it. I still practice a little bit but I need to get back into it more consistently.”
