“Before I had kids I rode bike. I did Biking Across Kansas (an annual, eight day bicycle tour across the state of Kansas). I would get up on Saturdays and ride 80 miles. I loved it. One day I did a 50 mile bike ride, then came home and played tennis. Then having a full time job and two kids made it harder to do those things. But over the past 5 years I’ve really decided I have to do this. If I want to be around for my kids I know I need to do things that make me feel better. I’ve learned that I have to workout first thing in the morning because if I say I’ll do it at the end of the day, I know I won’t. I also keep telling myself I’m going to start biking again this summer.”
