“I’ve had many challenges and struggles in my life, but I think it’s made me stronger. I went through a lot when I was younger. I was sexually abused. I was bullied. There’s been a lot of things that have happened to me that have been mentally traumatic. But a lot of people face bullying and abuse. A lot of people have overcome something. I think it can make you stronger. I think you have to make it a positive because that’s what’s going to catapult you. I’ve forgiven everyone who has hurt me. I’ve accepted life for what it is. And since then, I feel awesome. It’s changed everything. I went on to be Miss Wisconsin Teen USA 2011. I signed with a top New York modeling agency, and started an organization focused on helping others discover personal happiness and overcome personal challenges. I’m running for Miss Wisconsin USA 2017 in September. I’m getting physically and mentally ready for that. If I win, I get to promote everything I’m passionate about and I’ll get to give back to organizations that we represent. With my organization I’m giving back to nonprofits and speaking to people about being personally happy. I want to inspire people. We all have something that we don’t like about ourselves, but I want to teach others to pick out the points that you do love about yourself. I truly believe that when people are healthy from the inside out, you tend to love and accept yourself more. I’m a model but I want to be more than that. I want to inspire people to love who they are for who they are.”
