“I’ve worked out for years, but I hurt my back pretty bad 2 years ago. When I had my injury, I still tried to keep a positive attitude because I’m living my dream. I love this record shop and I love my customers, but when walking up the stairs took 5 minutes, when it should’ve taken 1, it really got me thinking. I’ve learned, and I continue learning how to workout around my injury. I’ve been finding ways to workout everyday, throughout the day, rather than just doing one session and being done with it. Yesterday was squat day. So, every hour on the hour I did 20 body weight squats. Today, I’m doing push ups every hour. I do it for 8 to 10 hours a day. It keeps the day fun. Each set takes around 30 seconds. I work all day, so it’s easy for me to stay active at work. I’ve only been doing this for a couple of months. I haven’t really seen a lot of results in my physical physique, but I’ve seen big results in my mental attitude, my eating habits, and being positive. Having the injury sucked, but it made me learn how to workout in a different way, and that’s been very beneficial for me.”
