“I’ve never been a physically fit person. I was really skinny up until 7th grade, then I got fat. Towards the end of high school I weighed 260 pounds. But then I went into the military and lost about 70 pounds in basic training. My dad thought it would make a man out of me. I liked the sense of accomplishment. I liked the fact that I made it through, not being physically fit. It was a good feeling to make it through. I stayed for four and a half years. I try to eat as healthy as I can. I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. My weight fluctuates a lot. If I don’t workout for a week, I fluctuate by 10 pounds. I’ll go from 185 to 195 from just not working out for one week. It happens all the time. When I do workout, it makes me feel better. It gets my endorphins running. I just feel better about myself. I can have a shitty workout and still feel good when I’m done. That’s what I like about it. I’m not at the fitness degree that I would like to be at. I don’t need a 6 pack, but I do want to get rid of this midsection. Also, I just want to feel good.”
